Roots and Leaves was established in 2017 by Haley Maness and was born out of desperation and necessity. Haley was diagnosed with Lyme’s disease and mold exposure and it was wreaking havoc on her health and life. Mainstream medicine was doing little to help, so she started researching alternative treatments, and was introduced to the healing world of herb. This natural sun balm offers broad-spectrum protection from both UVA/UVB rays using 100% clean ingredients. Designed to be both water-resistant and nourishing, it helps your skin stay soft & hydrated. With non-nano zinc oxide as its active shield, this mineral-based SPF sits on top of the skin, creating a safe barrier without penetrating your bloodstream.
This rich, breathable balm blends grass-fed tallow, organic castor oil, lavender essential oil for a light scent plus after-sun skincare and is fortified with 20% non-nano zinc oxide (25-35 SPF). Tinted with cocao powder, it softens the appearance of mineral whiteness and leaves a subtle, radiant finish.
Directions: Apply generously and reapply at least once an hour. Re-apply immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. Disclaimer: This product has NOT been tested for exact SPF value. It is based on formulations with 20% zinc oxide providing an estimated 25-35 SPF.
