When Market of Stars unearthed an antique seed catalogue with the delightful image of an artist’s paint palette dotted with flowers (instead of paint), they were instantly inspired to create this design!
One of the most intricate prints they've ever designed, it was made by carefully remixing the original artwork, and layering over 50 different flowers together to create the background. Every single flower was taken from vintage 1800’s seed catalogues!
The banner on the trim is a lithograph from the same era, and features a quote from the great painter, Claude Monet — who once said he owed becoming a painter to the beauty of flowers. The resulting print is whimsical, artsy, and super cool — with an antique feel that is adorable.
100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo).
Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry.
Kimono measurements: length 60cm, width 74 cm across.
